The hottest models of Stripchat are revealing their on camera ‘specialties’ that bring in the most tips - as well as shedding light on what men are most attracted to when they’re paying for personal attention.
The striptease-themed website asked their top entertainers about their specialty ‘personas’ and how they turn on their clients, and the answers were varied, but enlightening:
ClaraXJoy said that in her experience, men like to keep it ‘real’: “My persona is ‘Girl Next Door’, and it fits me like a glove! I am very easy to talk to and to be with… the one that understands all the issues any member might have; I am always in a good mood and you don't ever see me sad! I am told that my laugh is so joyful that it makes them forget their troubles for a while.”
For Kim Ventura, “This might sound crazy, but I sing to them… it's my go-to trick, and who would have thought that you can make money without a voice coach. It came natural, I love singing!”
Stripchat is a proud recipient of three XBIZ Awards nominations for industry excellence in 2019.
The specialty live cam striptease site earned a nomination for Cam Company of the Year and Cam Site of the Year, while its affiliate marketing platform StripCash brought in a nod for Cam Affiliate Program of the Year.
“We can’t thank XBIZ enough for awarding our efforts with these nominations," said Stripchat’s Business Development Manager Rick Morales. “Stripchat has grown into one of the largest, most-visited cam sites in the world, and it’s quite an incredible honor to be nominated amongst the very best companies in adult entertainment.”
Stripchat is unique in that it enables its live cam models to perform interactively while they sell digital adult content, supported by customer membership levels, online currency transactions with tokens and special messaging features… while viewers relax and enjoy the shows.
“We realize that cam sites are very popular and there is a lot of competition, which is why Stripchat makes every effort to stand out above and beyond other sites to please its viewers,” said Morales. “It’s a great feeling to know that we are succeeding, and these nominations are a testament to all of our hard work. Thank you, XBIZ!”
Stripchat.com reports that its company membership numbers and daily traffic metrics for the live cam service has officially hit an all-time high, with its top-earning models working full-time to meet customer demand.
The popular striptease-themed cam site recently polled its online stars in order to see how many hours they’re now working, and if they still have second jobs to prop up their income.
“We all know a successful model needs to be online as much as possible,” said BustyTannia,. I'm working almost 30 hours in a week, at least that is that is the standard I set for myself. I like to have all my energy stored and released in ONE thing, in this case camming.”
For ClaraXJoy, “I don’t have another job, this one provides me with everything, especially all the money I need! I work over 30 hours per week but I think I will increase my working hours as soon as possible! We all know that the best way to be on top is by staying online as much as possible.
Evelyn Black explained that “I work 40-60 hours most of the time… I don't think it is possible to do great in two different things at the same time.”
Kim Ventura added that “I think the important thing is how impressive you are online instead of the amount of time you spend online… as time has gone by, I have gradually started earning as much as or even more than by having two jobs.”
Iris Blues summed up that “watching the clock while working is not wise… I spend between 40 and 60 hours online. My job is to make everyone happy and see men smiling after having some hard times. I think that my cam model job is very complex; I am not just offering great moments, but I am also a therapist, a secretary, a confident, a lover and a secret keeper.
Premier adult webcam site Stripchat recently got in touch with some of its most popular models and asked them to give advice about the startup costs of entering such a highly competitive and lucrative industry.
“You need clothes, toys, if you use toys at all, and a lot of other stuff,” said Stripchat cam model Sara Winston. “In my opinion, every time you get your salary, you should reinvest at least 10% back into your career.”
Kim Ventura said that “it’s very important to invest in yourself, your career, your clothes and yes, even in toys. A lot of sites provide you with a promotional period when you start, and you get a lot of members in your room and they request clothes, toys and your time.”
“Quality outfits cost a lot… members notice and appreciate the little things about their favorite cam girl,” said CyndyXLove. “I buy something sexy at least once a week to see their happy faces when they see me wear it ‘just for them’.
Lindsey Leigh has taken up residence at two of the adult industry’s top entertainment sites, MyFreeCams and ManyVids/MV Live.
“After several years in the business producing exclusive content for a variety of clip sites, I would like to introduce myself to the webcam community by performing at the industry’s top camming destinations, MyFreeCams and MV Live,” said Leigh.
The gorgeous raven-haired star has built a considerable fan following at Clips4Sale and ManyVids, where she currently offers nude, softcore and hardcore content as a solo performer.
“Fans have been asking me for years to work as a webcam model to give them a more personal live experience, as it’s a natural progression for me as an entertainer,” said Leigh, “so now they have many more opportunities to find me online.”
Leigh’s fans will also be able to find her in person at Canada’s largest adult trade event, The Taboo Show - sponsored by MyFreeCams - to meet with fans, trade attendees, exhibitors and fellow live entertainers November 2-4.
Stripchat recently interviewed a group of its most popular webcam models and asked their thoughts about feminism and whether or not doing cam work - or adult entertainment in general - was considered feminist.
“This is a question that women have been asked for a while now, and the argument is, how can we be feminists if we are objectified as sex objects on a daily basis? I get that many women see it that way, but I have a different outlook on this,” said a Stripchat performer from New York City who prefers to remain anonymous.
“Women in the U.S. are incredibly lucky - in 2018 we have more choices in how we can live our lives than at any other time in history. If I want to own my own company, work in an office, stay at home and raise kids or entertain clients in front of a webcam… I CAN. There are no limits to what we can do. That’s my idea of feminism… I’m going to do what I want.”
A Stripchat model from Florida said that “I like to think of myself as a feminist but I understand that many people might disagree. You’re having a man tell you what to do on the other end of a webcam as you entertain him for pleasure. That in itself, I suppose, is the opposite of what a feminist believes in. I see both sides. But I love what I do, so it works for me personally.”
Stripchat is asking its top models what it’s like working as cam girls and how the job affects their everyday lifestyles in the ‘real world’.
The premier adult cam community offers its performers a worldwide platform to promote themselves and their talents on the striptease site, but what happens when the webcam is turned off?
“This job - like any job - has its ups and downs, and I started working for Stripchat after a year at another cam site that I didn’t really enjoy,” said a Stripchat model who hails from Colorado. “I’m generally uncomfortable initiating conversation and talking to people, but in the months I’ve been here I’ve really opened up and feel more at ease chatting up my clients. I’ve noticed that I’m able to transfer those new skills to be able to have relaxed conversations in my daily life.”
Premier adult cam community Stripchat.comasked its top performers about user behavior in private rooms, and nearly all agreed: many clients could use a refresher course in online etiquette with the models.
“I see a lot of people in a day, and most of my clients are perfect gentlemen,” says a Stripchat model who prefers to remain anonymous. “But there are those that forget that you are a human being with feelings and that can be an issue with me.
“Body shaming is a big NO. If you don’t like what I am doing or feel I could work on myself, do me a favor and go find someone else that’s more to your liking. I take good care of my body and pride in my job performance, but there is always some guy who feels that criticizing me is helpful. It’s not. Don’t do it.”
Another Stripchat model from Washington gave a similar answer, but added that “we are far more accommodating to clients’ requests when they tip graciously. Coming in to a room and bossing me around can be kind of hot, but you’ll get a lot farther with tips.”
A third performer brought up client requests: “I’m pretty clear in my profile what I enjoy and what I will do, but I still get people coming in and asking me to do something that I am not comfortable with. I would ask that if you want a specific performance and I don’t mention that I do this sort of thing, it’s probably best to seek out someone who will.
Premier adult cam community Stripchat.com reports that a large number of female college students have signed up for summer work as models this year, a noticeable bump compared to years past.
“Summer jobs have always been common among students, of course, but it seems as if more young women are taking advantage of the great pay and flexible hours that cam work offers rather than struggling with long minimum wage hours,” said Rick Morales, Stripchat’s Business Development Manager.
With skyrocketing tuition costs and the ever-higher cost of living in many larger communities, college coeds are finding creative ways to pay for their mounting expenses beyond waiting tables and retail gigs.
“In the past, people wouldn’t generally consider doing cam modeling, but times are changing and social mores are loosening,” added Morales. “Cam work has become quite a bit more common these days and women are becoming much more open about it as well.”
